Len maintains an active, private law practice on Long Island and in New York City. He is also Of Counsel to Westermann Sheehy Keenan Samaan & Aydelott, LLP (WSKSA), a nationally recognized construction law and commercial litigation firm.  Len heads up WSKSA’s Commercial Finance and Real Estate Departments.

Len concentrates his practice on complex commercial finance, real estate and business matters. Len has negotiated and closed several hundred acquisition, mortgage, construction, participation and asset-based loans in the tri-state area for commercial lenders, and hundreds of conventional, FHA, HARP and HELOCs for several nationally recognized residential lenders. He has also been lead counsel on many refinance and work-out matters. In addition, Len represents real estate developers and investors who acquire and develop residential and commercial properties in New York City and Long Island. Len has also been lead counsel on the leasing of commercial and warehouse facilities in Florida, Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as throughout Long Island and New York State. Len’s business practice includes the representation of privately held companies in the metropolitan New York area, including companies which manufacture and distribute products in global markets.

Len attended Princeton University and studied British jurisprudence at St. Clare’s in Oxford, England. While attending St. John’s University School of Law, Len clerked at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom and the Legal Bureau of the NYPD. Len entered the practice of law in 1984 and represented labor organizations and employee benefit funds in connection with the purchase of commercial real estate in Manhattan. Thereafter, and before becoming Of Counsel to WSKSA, Len worked at Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein, P.C. where he represented several commercial lenders on asset based and mortgage loan transactions.
